Rookley is a village near the centre of the Isle of Wight on the main road between Shanklin and Newport.

Rookley is home to some of the Island's best self catering cottages and homes including Rookley Farm Lodge, Barwick Cottages and the Red Barn.  There is a holiday park  - Rookley Country Park - with excellent facilities for families as well as a pair of well stocked fishing lakes, a restaurant and pub.  The Chequers Inn manages to combine the charm of a traditional English ale-house with the modern facilities you would expect from a family-friendly pub.
